Cynthia Simons
Cynthia Simons was born in Plano Tx but has spent the majority of her life around Austin, Tx. Her passion for civil rights and equity stems back to the age of 15 when she graduated high school at the age of 15 and attended the University of Texas at San Antonio. That passion has since been fueled by the many despairing outcomes of marginalized communities in every system. She comes from a Public Policy background where she has been instrumental in legislation and local initiatives that move the needle in more equitable outcomes for underserved families. With that experience she brings innovative solutions and excellent relationship building wrapped in trauma informed care to all of her endeavors. She is the proud mother of three children and wishes to lead by examples of inclusion and uplifting historically marginalized communities for her family and community. Cynthia is a relentless advocate, activist and facilitator uplifting the unique collateral consequences and intersectionality of American Systems. She currently serves as the Reentry Planning Manager at Travis County, Is the Co-Founder of Transformative Practices Consulting and the Operational Director of Tomorrows Promise Foundation. The common thread in all of these endeavors is the preservation and reunification of families, this Cynthia believes is the catalyst for intergenerational healing.
