Nelda Frank
Nelda Frank has over 43 years of nursing experience. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Baptist Hospital School of Nursing and Lamar University in 1974. Her nursing career began in public health as a maternal child healthcare nurse. Throughout her career she worked as a Clinical Oncology Research Coordinator, Hospital Ethics Council member, and Healthcare Leadership-Education Committee member at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, TX. While working for Baylor she traveled to Romania and Czech Republic to aid in the revitalization of the countries Healthcare Systems. During her expansive career she served as a medical missionary with Promise Keepers Ministry in Indonesia, Ukraine, and Mexico. She also worked with the Alaska Native Tribal Consortium to coordinate community outreach healthcare clinics in secluded villages in Alaska. Nelda’s nursing philosophy is to serve her community with dignity and compassion. She believes that everyone deserves quality health care by professionals who see their patients as unique and capable individuals. She believes that everyone should have access to quality healthcare regardless of SES, race, gender or religion. She hopes to continue serving her community until everyone has healthcare equity.
