Dr. Vicki Lott

Vicki Vernon Lott has a Ph.D. in Education and more than 30 years in education. At Southern University in Baton Rouge she transitioned into college administration and at four more Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) at the vice-presidential level: Virginia State University near Petersburg; Lane College in Jackson, TN; Rust College in Holly Springs, MS; and most recently at Huston-Tillotson University in Austin, TX. Her education focus has been early intervention, retention, and graduation of first-generation minority students. She also has years of experience with pre-college bridge programs for K-12 students and has taught Critical Thinking.
